Job Overview

As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you report to the board of directors and play a key role to develop and deliver on results of the strategic plan. Leading a newly formed organization you bring operational efficiency and direction to AgLink Canada. You are a dynamic strategic thinker, seasoned in high-level operations and the agriculture industry.

You are a natural at developing relationships and have already established from your years in the industry a robust network of high-level contacts through out the Canadian agricultural sector. Leveraging your connections for strategic alliances you are adept at working the landscape to best execute AgLink’s strategy and build a strong framework for long-term sustainability. As the leader of Canada’s collective voice of independent ag retailers, you attend numerous industry, government, and educational events to represent AgLink’s vision and mission (35% travel).

You are a charismatic and well-spoken professional with extensive experience in operations and leadership in a member based organization, championing operational effectiveness you pull together organizational structure ensuring legal compliance, corporate governance, human resources, and financial budgets and utilization meet the strategic plan. The CEO is accustomed to making complex decisions, which impact multiple stakeholders and break ground for executing the strategic plan.

Equipped with 8-15 years experience in a senior management role reporting to a board, a minimum of 5 years with contract negotiations supplier/retailer in the global agriculture industry environment and an in-depth knowledge of global agriculture trends and technologies you are prepared to launch and lead AgLink Canada. You have a Masters in Business in Agriculture and experience working with start-ups or entrepreneurial ventures. Full time. Salary range offered is $250,000 - $300,000 CAN dollars / year with a yearly salary review and 20%performance based bonus eligibility. A competitive benefits package including: disability, medical, mileage, dental, pension and vision is available.
